Tobie Milford

Tobie's the man. Not only is he a key memeber of The Whisperlights, but he's also an exceptionally talented musician of his own accord. (Tobie's debut album "Alyosha" was released on Surface To Air Records and can be found here). His layered violin and crooning vocals drip honey on more than a few of Phoenix's Indie records, and with the addition of Henri Benard (of Dry River Yacht Club) on drums and percussion, his live show keeps you dancing. Last summer while on tour with the Whipserlights, Tobie played solo to the kind people of Arcata, just as the kids were winding down and the night was coming to an end. I was fortunate enough not only to be present at this cozy and intimate performance, but also equiped enough to capture it a la magical MBox. Tobie is talking about releasing this live set online, aptly titled "Arcata Bedtime Stories". As to the future... I'll keep you up to date as Tobie's plans to head into the studio with Henri to record his eagerly anticipated sophmore album.
